	Experimental Book Work "Last Decade 1989~1991" The "LAST DECADE 1989~1999" in and encompassing present-progressive file document collecting the artworks and activities of Noriyuki Tanaka from 1989 to 1999. This project takes the form of a book to be published each year, starting in 1990 and ending in the year 2000. The work involves much manual labor including writing over medical record sheets which are then offset printed, hand pasting materials an adding prints and drawings. We only publish 300 copies each time. I feel that my very limited edition poses a question to the modern day printing, publishing and distribution systems which seem to care only for efficiency. Such a limited edition is commercial impossibility under current circumstances, but I do it anyway - because I want to. I certainly intend to keep working on the series. Noriyuki Tanaka Born in Tokyo in 1959. Completed master course at the Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music in 1985. He has won various awards. After his solo exhibition in 1989 entitled "Gokan-Substratum of The City" series, he has held a number of exhibitions at various galleries and museums in Japan and abroad. His artistic activities are not limited to galleries and museums, however. Any and all city space is his arena. His work is a transitive verb that bridges art and society.
