When a friend of mine got married, his father told me an interesting story. He said, "Izanaki" and "Izanami", a married couple who appear in an old history book on Japan, are both Gods and the last characters of each name "ki" and "mi" stand for male and female respectively. He linked the fact that his son's name is Naoki and the bride's is Naomi with the mythical couple. I was very amused by the coincidence and offered to design a logo for the new couple which was already in my mind at the time.
I could not reveal the design process at the screening but I thought that the enjoyable conversation and my cheerful feelings may have led to the good evaluation of this little task. |
